Founded in 1836, the Australian Museum is recognised internationally as one of the best museum of its kind.

Marvel at the glittering gems of the Albert Chapman Mineral Collection, the grandeur of the College Street Foyer with the sperm whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling or soak up the atmosphere of the Skeleton Gallery located in the original Museum building built in 1853.  The Terrace with views overlooking the CBD, and St. Mary’s Cathedral tops this prestigious Sydney landmark.
